Join the Stop Stupak Day of ActionHundreds of adcovates from all over the country have descended on Capitol Hill today to fight for women's reproductive freedom. Even if you can't be in D.C. today, you can join them by writing a letter to Senators Hagan and Burr asking them to oppose any attempts to put Stupak style language in to the Senate health care reform bill. Three weeks ago, the House put politics before a woman's health and interfered in her ability to make individual and private decisions that are best for herself and her family. The Stupak-Pitts amendment interfered with women's access to the reproductive health care they need. Now an amendment similar to that offered by Stupak will be offered on the floor of the Senate. Now is the time to remind the Senate that health care reform should not jeapordize women's health. Write a letter to Sentors Burr and Hagan urging them not to vote in favor of a Stupak-Pitts style amendment. |
